Wildely innapropriate.

I actually finished the Picture of Dorian Gray. It wasn't actually that bad after I got through the copious amounts of gay subtext in the first chapters. Lord Henry's a jerk but he has the best quips ever. I've never really been a big fan of allegory, at least not in stories. But I must say that I found it thoroughly interesting. Though I'm not saying I liked it (if you got that joke, huzzah! you read the book. And you're a nerd!).

Well, I'm packing for west virginia. I love unnasigned territory, but I've found that I hate packing. I love driving long distances, but it's horrible not doing the actual driving. I'll probably study a lot, maybe play some DS with Tim. Poke him a whole lot. Anything to pass the time. Oh, how I do love the mountains! Majestic, alluring, breath-taking. I miss them. What am I doing in Florida? That Nicholas Sparks book that Libby's bringing for me better rock. If any of you get a chance to read Dogs of Babel, you won't regret it; though it is a tad on the depressing side. I'm in a very "stream of consciousness" mood tonight. Perhaps it's because I dont' want to pack? What ever happened to those times when your mom would do all the packing for you? Adulthood is overrated.

I am officially taking suggestions on books to read. I will read pretty much anything you suggest. Honestly. There doesn't even need to be an explosion or anything like it. So make it good. Though I leave tomorrow and won't be back until the 15th or 16th.

If any of you have the G4 channel (channel 150 for you Brighthouse subscribers), there is an awesome show called Ninja Warrior. It's like a cross between MXC and American Gladiator. On crack. Only two people out of 50 made it through the first round. Good times, I promise.

Timeline by Michael Crichton. I think there is one explosion.

Enroute to WV! Have fun. Don't die. Don't hurt Tim too much.

Matthew vouches for Sphere and Federation (Star Trek book). If you watch stuff on G4 thought you might like Star Trek.

So you actually read it? Wilde's wit is hard to match.

Nice post title, by the by.

The Jeeves books are hilarious. Highly recommended. Grade "A" aristocratic British humour. Yes, with a "u."

P.G. Woodehouse is the author.

Now that you finished it, do you think it's worth the time and effort? Would you suggest that I trudge through the rest of it?

I read the book "The Hot Zone" and it was amazing..so very interesting.
Its so dramatic and hair-rising because it's all true. You, Kelly, will be amazed.
If you'd like to borrow it, let me know. I'll lend you it.

I read 'Northanger Abbey' and 'Mansfield Park' and I think they're both better than Emma, which is saying something. You haven't read either of those, have you?

great quips for sure!

I remember listening to that book on tape in the dark. It was definitly on the creepy side.

Wilde is so classic though. delightfully quotable.

STate of Fear is a good Michael Crichton.

if you wanna stretch out into left field, try an african writer Chinua Achebe. He's written "Things fall apart" and "Man of the People". Beware, these stories do not have good endings. the first one doesn't anyway.

i read dorian grey.
